Lancaster Bomber

On Tuesday I went to see the only remaining flying Lancaster bomber in Europe at RAF Conningsby and had a guided tour by its pilot. I also saw 5 Spitfires, 2 Hurricanes and a Dakota (all airworthy).

I sat in a Spitfire that flew in the Battle of Britain and sat in the cockpit, rear gun turret and bomber position of the Lancaster.

Go Kart

Today my Grandad and I (with a little supervision from Daddy) built a go-kart. We got an old pram from the tip for the wheels, and used an old stool for the seat, together with bits of old wood for the rest of the go-kart.

Tomorrow we are going to attach a steering rope and a speedometer.

I took it for test drive around the village this evening, with my Daddy towing me. It worked brilliantly!

Daddy’s Birthday

For Daddy’s birthday we all went out for a Chinese meal. I had sweet and sour chicken (one of my favourite meals) and some crispy garlic and chili beef, which was also very nice. For a starter we had crispy duck in pancakes.

I also ate my entire meal using only chopsticks!
